How to Care for 3D Printed Plant Pots

3D printed planters are tougher than they look, but a few small habits keep them looking new for years. Here is everything we tell our own customers.

Watering without worries

Our planters are printed watertight and include an integrated drip tray, so day-to-day watering is no problem. For a very wet soil mix, or a thirsty plant you water heavily, we still recommend dropping in a thin plastic liner - it makes repotting easier too.

Keep them out of the hot car

PLA is a plant-based plastic that stays rigid at normal room and outdoor temperatures, but it softens around 60C. That means a sunny windowsill in high summer, or a closed car, is the one place to avoid. Anywhere you would be comfortable sitting, your planter will be too.

The quick version

• Wipe clean with a damp cloth - no dishwasher, no boiling water.
• Use a liner for very wet soil, or to make repotting simple.
• Keep out of direct summer sun through glass and hot cars.
• They are drainage-ready with the built-in tray - no saucer needed.
